In this presentation Prof. Paul Robertson, founder and leader of the internationally renowned Medici String Quartet and now Visiting Professor in Music and Medicine to one of the UK’s leading Medical Schools – ‘Peninsula’, graphically illustrates the artistic and scientific basis of musical communication. As well as film and contemporary scientific research Paul will incorporate into his presentation a short
performance on his rare early C18th Montagnana violin.
